Game-Changing DJ Residency

Tiësto, in the booth!

When they heard that the world’s most famous DJ was signed to a residency in Las Vegas, trance and house-lovers might have teared up just a little. Vegas is flooded with monthly nightclub residencies, but Tiësto at The Joint was different. Instead of being held in a fancy schmancy billion-dollar club where half of the guests are tourists who have no clue what EDM means (electronic dance music!), it was a ticketed event at a real concert venue. Bottle service and skyboxes were available but were also unnecessary for the “best time ever,” thanks to a spacious dance floor. Since its Jan. 1 debut, each show neared the point of sellout and proved that nightclubs aren’t the only fit for an unforgettable experience. Hopefully more venues will follow this model—clear the floor and turn up the volume!
