Back in 2008, during the nadir of the economic crisis, Las Vegas saw many green-lit projects halt in their mid-construction tracks. One entity to meet such a fate was Nicole “ND” Durr’s lounge/theater/coffeeshop, ND’s Space, which was set to debut on the third floor of the Shoppes at the Palazzo, directly above Barneys.
The 8,500-square-foot space has since been mothballed until New York operator Simon Hammerstein recently decided to pursue a Las Vegas outpost of his Lower East Side burlesque club, The Box.
Originally rumored to debut on New Year’s Eve, this project has also seen some delays but is moving foward and is slated to open early next year; a domain for TheBoxLasVegas.com is already registered to the company. The Box NYC is a celebrity favorite that is well known for its ability to push boundaries while maintaining its position as an exclusive, bottle-service den that is perhaps more theater than nightclub.
So far, details about what we can expect in Las Vegas are pretty scarce, but we hear that Hammerstein has partnered up with Jon Newton’s VV Ventures of First Food & Bar fame and the defunct David Burke restaurant in the Shoppes at the Palazzo to bring the project to fruition.

This year, the Norse’s strength is overall team depth. Complementing the large number of strong swimmers is the idea that swimming is a team sport, and there will be plenty of team bonding throughout the season.
